◉ PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
EN 10204 3.1 MTC | ISO 9001 Certified | 10,000 t/yr Battery pack lines welding 18650 to 32650 cells need a strip with stable resistance and a clean, repeatable weld surface — this Ni200/Ni201 pure nickel strip is slit to battery widths (2-15 mm), punched in 1P-9P patterns, and supplied in hot-sale 0.15 and 0.2 mm gauges. With 0.096 μΩ·m resistivity and a degreased, dry-punched surface, it feeds spot welding machines with consistent joint quality spool after spool. Both grades are pure nickel, and the difference is carbon. Ni200 (Ni ≥99.2%, C ≤0.15%) is the standard workhorse for battery spot welding — strong, weldable and cost-effective. Ni201 (Ni ≥99.0%, C ≤0.02%) is the low-carbon version, chosen where strip may see elevated temperature during welding or service, because low carbon avoids carbide precipitation and keeps ductility and corrosion resistance intact. For routine cylindrical-cell spot welding, Ni200 covers the vast majority of packs; specify Ni201 when your design or process heats the tab area. Spot welding quality is decided by three strip properties: electrical resistance, surface condition and thickness tolerance. At 0.096 μΩ·m, resistance is low and stable; a degreased, dry-punched surface avoids contamination at the weld interface; and tight thickness control keeps energy absorption uniform. Each coil is inspected per batch so the parameters set on your welder hold from the first joint to the last. Choose by service temperature. Ni200 is the standard spot-welding grade; Ni201's 0.02% maximum carbon makes it the choice where the tab or connection is exposed to elevated temperature during welding or pack operation, preventing carbide precipitation and preserving ductility. Composition for both grades follows the catalog, and batch-level chemistry is confirmed per EN 10204 3.1 on request. 0.15 mm suits lower-current connections and tighter welding windows; 0.2 mm carries more current per path and is preferred for high-discharge packs. Widths from 2-15 mm and patterns from 1P-9P cover 18650, 21700, 26650, 32650 and 32700 layouts, with available pitch of 18.5-20.2 mm. Confirm your cell spacing and discharge current, and the gauge-width combination is locked against your drawing. Patterned strip is produced with in-house stamping capability and independent die development, using a degreased dry-punching process that keeps the surface clean for welding. Patterns are punched to your pack layout, and die geometry is verified on the sample before production runs. Price follows grade: Ni201 350-390 / Ni200 340-380 USD/kg FOB; custom widths, patterns and pitches are quoted per drawing. Material data on this page follows ASTM B162 and GB/T 2072-2020; physical-property and corrosion guidance references the ASM Specialty Handbook: Nickel, Cobalt, and Their Alloys (ASM International) and Nickel Institute application guidance; batch-level composition and geometry are verified against mill test certificates (EN 10204 3.1) and in-house inspection records. Strip is coiled with edge protection and packed in export cartons or wooden cases. Lead time: 3-7 days for stock and small orders, 7-15 days for standard production, 15-30 days for complex custom work per drawing. 0.15 mm suits lower-current connections; 0.2 mm carries more current per path for high-discharge packs — confirm your cell current and we will recommend the gauge. Ni200 is the standard spot-welding grade; choose low-carbon Ni201 where the tab sees elevated temperature during welding or service. Patterns 1P-9P, widths 2-15 mm, and pitch 18.5-20.2 mm cover 18650, 21700, 26650, 32650 and 32700 layouts; custom geometry is punched per drawing. Yes — in-house stamping with independent die development, using a degreased dry-punching process that keeps the weld surface clean. EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates, batch records and inspection reports are available on request for incoming inspection. MOQ is 5 kg; delivery is 3-7 days for stock and small orders, 7-15 days for standard production, and 15-30 days for complex custom work per drawing.
