Inconel 625, also known as Alloy 625 or UNS N06625, is a nickel-based superalloy developed for demanding environments where high corrosion resistance, good mechanical strength, weldability, and reliable performance across a broad temperature range are required. Its principal alloying elements include nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and niobium, which provide a balanced combination of corrosion resistance and solid-solution strengthening.

Unlike precipitation-hardened nickel alloys such as Inconel 718, Inconel 625 is primarily strengthened through the effects of molybdenum and niobium in the nickel-chromium matrix.
